Do telephone line troubles have your alarm systems down? TIE can Help. TIE can send your alarms any distance over any voice grade telephone line (carrier, optical, microwave, hardwire, etc.). The TIE transmitter receiver sends tones which are easily handled by telephone circuitry. Simply insert the small TIE modules between your system and the telephone line. The transmitter will accept a line reversal, normally open or normally closed input. It transmits three indications which might represent "normal", "alarm", or "trouble". The receiver at the other end of the telephone line then indicates these signals with relay outputs.
The TIE modules are offered in two basic models. The model 847 is a mini-modular multiplex system whereby up to five TIE modules, each with three types of indications, can be sent over a single telephone line in either direction at one time. The cost of a telephone line can therefore be shared by five users.
The model 848 is a high security modem system in which signals are sent in a synchronized interrogate/respond0 mode. This mode is particularly tamper proof. Only one high security system is recommended per telephone line.
The TIE systems have been proven by many years of service to be reliable and cost effective. They are particularly easy to install and check out, simply insert between your system and the telephone line, connect power, and listen to the tones with the earphone provided.
