Here's a space saving view of notebook in action. The tool bar has the functions, Calendar, Lists, Stop Watch, Searching, Navigating through notes etc. The middle pane is the main body of today's notes and the lower pane is the summary for the day. The summary shows up on the calendar too.

The calendar shows you summaries and alarms.

Click on a day and you get an exploded view of your notes, summary and alarms.

At the bottom is the Garden Calculator. If peas are ready in 59 days, then we should have them on June 29. Actually we planted them on April 27 so they should be ready by June 25!

You can search your notes, lists and alarms all at once.

What were the steps you need to do to create a notebook installation? I know I wrote them down because I'd never remember them.

You can make list of things and then use "Quick Search" to find what you're looking for.

When you're through with a list pressing "Delete and Archive" removes the list and pastes it in today's notes as a record. Throw away those postit notes and never worry about emptying the waste basket.

Backup your notebook, synchronize with your laptop and go on the road. Notebooks intelligent synchronization doesn't just copy notes it merges them, so you can make notes on two machines and merge them when it's convenient.
