STUART LITTLE

Written and Illustrated by Nora B. and Alexa L. - Grade 2

(We read this book and thought it would be a good idea to write about it on our web page so other people can read about it.)

Stuart Little is a mouse. He was born into a family that is not a mouse family. As he grew older he was more helpful.

One time his mother's ring fell into the drain. "Oh no!!! What can we do?'' Mother said. ''I know what we can do,'' said Mr. Little.

"What is it?," said Mrs. Little. Stuart can go down the drain. But before Mr. Little could say another word, Mrs. Little cried out, "How?"

George said," Take a string and a fishing hook, put them together and there you have it." Before long Stuart had the ring. He pulled three times and they pulled him up.

Another problem is that Stuart's family likes to play ping -pong and the balls always go under the heaters. Stuart pushed the balls out that went under the heaters.

They had a piano in their living room that had a sticky key that did not work. Stuart tried to help by going in the piano, but he could not pull the key down.

Stuart couldn't turn on the faucet so, his dad made a little hammer for him that he could use to turn the faucet on. It was little enough so that when he hit the water faucet there would be a thin stream of water and Stuart would not drown.

Stuart got rolled up in one of the shades. He got bruised in the shade. He did not know how to get out. He could not breathe. George got him out.

Stuart is pretty old now, but he is still very helpful.
