Sunflowers

by Amanda Bl. and Amanda Bu.

I chose to write about sunflowers because they're pretty. They can grow really, really tall. My friend Amanda Bl. asked if she could work with me. That's how we decided to write about sunflowers together.

We found out that sunflowers are really pretty and can grow to be as tall as a full grown man or woman.

We have planted and then transpalnted sunflowers with Mrs. Thompson, our science teacher.

They are just beginning to grow in our grow lab. Some people have forgotten to water their plants. But ours are growing well because we water our plants!

After they grow you can remove the seeds, dry them, bake them, and eat the insides.

Sunflowers can be used to line pathways. Sunflowers can also be used inside your house after they have been grown. They can be put into pots or vases to make the house look pretty. They make pretty decorations.

This is the cover of the book we wrote about sunflowers.
