You Are What You Eat

by Nick B. and Missy S.

How many fruits and vegetables do you eat everyday? You should eat 2 to 3 servings of vegetables and 2 to 4 servings of fruit each day. You can find Vitamin A in yellow fruits and green vegetables. Some of the green vegetables and yellow fruits are bananas, grapefruits, green peppers, and broccoli. They give us good vision, strong bones, and heal our wounds. Vitamin C is needed for wound healing, for development of blood vessels, bones, teeth, and other tissues. Some of the fruits and vegetables are citrus fruits, melons, berries, leafy green vegetables, broccoli, cabbage, and spinach. Vitamin K is needed for normal blood clotting. It is found in dark, leafy, vegetables like peas and cauliflower. Cherries and grapes provides vitamin B1 and B2.

Parents in the Nutrition Fair tried the station called, You Are What You Eat. They named all kinds of fruits and vegetables. I think the parents had a hard time on the ear, the ear was a sliced pepper. Probably the easiest one was the lower arm and it was the corn on the cob. The hardest one was the toes they were radishes. When the parents finished and they identified 10 fruits and veggies right they received a sticker!
