Harrows were used to pull stumps out of the ground. Oxen were more common than horses. They would sometimes raise bees in a box that had holes for the honey to go in. But oxen were slower than horses so they would use horses to make their job faster. A man would have a basket full of wheat seeds and throw them in front of the harrow.
