In colonial times children did not have many toys. It was special to have even one toy because they had to make their own toys. They took good care of toys. They liked to race on stilts they had to make their own and they chased wagon wheels just to have fun. They made puppet shows with old socks. They did not have gizmo toys. We think the way they made toys is cool.
