Venus

by John

Venus is the second planet from the Sun. Venus is called Earth's twin because it is about the same size and it is the closet planet to Earth. It is the easiest planet to see than any other planet. Venus has a rocky, desert like surface with no water and no living things. It has zero moons and a temperature of 900 degrees. It takes 72 days to go around the sun.

Venus is 67,000,000 miles from the sun. Venus is the nearest planet to Earth. It is one of the inner planets. It has no moons. Venus and Earth are called twin planets because they are very similar. They are also called sister planets. They are very close in size. Both planets have hard cores and were formed at the same time.It also rotates on an axis but in the opposite direction than the other planets in our solar system. Venus is also called a mystery planet because three layers of clouds surrounds it. This makes it hard for scientists to see it well. Venus is the brightest planet in the Solar System. One of the highest mountain ranges that are found in the solar system is found on Venus. The average temperature is 480 degrees.
