Our class did an erosion project. We needed a tin baking pan, sand,water and a coffee can with holes in the bottom. We shaped the sand into a hill. Then we put some water in the can and that was the rain. Then we got a piece of paper and wrote where the stream, river, and ocean were. We talked as a class about what happened when we pored the water in the can and made it rain. I think that when we poured the water in the can, the water washed the sand on top down into the ocean and left all of the big rocks showing. The little rocks got washed into the ocean.
