Our Week in School

Our letter this week is L. Mr. L loves lemon lollipops.

We read a book called Look. First we could only see a little of a picture. We had to guess what is was and then we could see the whole picture. We made our own books called Look.

We made snowflakes. The shape we used to make them is called a hexagon. It is the same as our yellow pattern blocks.

We made the scenery for our play. We practiced on the stage. We are excited about Monday.

We are using penguins to tell number stories. We made our own storyboards. They have sky, and a rocky place for nests, and water. We use adult and baby penguins to tell stories.

We made a book called My Look Book. It has a lot of words that begin with L.

We did number 4 in our number books.

We read another Henry and Mudge book. In this one Mudge gets sick and has to go to the vet.

We are learning to read lots of little books. Each week we get a new book.

Our pattern for the February calendar is: green square, yellow square, red square, blue square.

Notes From Mrs. Baston

Our play will be part of the school's community meeting beginning at 8:30 Monday morning. If you are coming to watch, you may go directly to the gym.

Valentines should be brought in as early in the week as possible so children have time to mail them.
