Our Week in School

(Beginning this week I am asking the children to share in the writing of the newsletter by telling me what they want included. I hope this will be a springboard for conversation about what we are doing at school.)

Our letter person is Mr. D. He likes delicious doughnuts.

We made dogs with tails that wag.

We read the book Harry, the Dirty Dog. We wrote about one part of the story.

We read a book called In a dark dark wood. We can help Mrs. Baston with the reading. We started to make our own book like it.

We did a matching activity with Mrs. Abbott. We matched mittens with the same design.

We are telling Spooky House math stories. Our stories are about pumpkins, ghosts, and goblins. We use numbers because they are math stories. We made our own spooky house storyboards.

In phys. ed. we used hula hoops this week. In Music we sang a pumpkin song.

We read a book in the library called Farmer Duck. We made ducks to put up on the wall.

We read Make Way For Ducklings.

Notes From Mrs. Baston

On Friday, Oct. 31 we will be taking a field trip to the Fire Station to learn about fire prevention.

Next week I will send home reminders about conference times on Nov. 10 and 13.

Because of a conflict I will need to reschedule the Thursday conferences to Monday at the same times.
