Wiscasset, Maine U.S.A.
Incorporated: 1760

by Ben and Greg

Wiscasset is a beautiful village located on the coast of southern Maine. The population of Wiscasset is 3,400 people. Wiscasset is a very old seaport. You can still visit the many sea captains' homes here. The job opportunities available to the people in our town are: blood worm digging, lobstering, fishing, and working at Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. Tourism is another money maker. Bed and Breakfast homes, restaurants, and quaint shops welcome tourists from all over the United States.

We enjoy playing kickball, baseball, soccer, roller blading, and football in the warmer months. During the winter we have fun skiing, snow boarding, sledding, and playing ice hockey.

We think our town is very exciting. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Wiscasset was settled in 1663. It is said that Samuel de Champlain landed here in 1605. He exchanged gifts with the Indians.
