Morris Farm
by
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bailey came to our classroom and told us about the Morris Farm and its history. The Baileys live at the farm. They operate the farm and provide educational activities, farmers markets, and summer day camps. They are here because they love farming and they enjoy teaching kids about life on a farm.

The Morris Farm Trust, a non-profit membership organization with over five hundred supporters, own the farm.
The farm is very special to Wiscasset Primary School because we get to visit the farm and plant gardens and look at the animals, fields, the fifteen foot waterfall, and the pond. The Baileys love having people come over to visit the farm.
The Morris Farm offers workshops for all ages. In the summer, they have a day camp for seven to twelve year olds. There the children have fun, plant gardens, take care of animals, and learn the ins and outs of farming. They also have a Morris Farm Fair to help advertise the excellent produce the farm grows.
The farm is planning on becoming a dairy farm in the near future. Maybe they will sell ice cream!!!! We hope so!
The Baileys are nice people and the farm is lovely too.

The Baileys, our farmers next door!
