It is important to expose children to a variety of ways of learning. It is also important to keep our minds and bodies healthy. This lesson in particular points out the following:
There are elements of decision making and problem solving throughout this lesson. Children will gather information, make sense of it, and make decisions based on the information that they have processed.
Children will be provided with the opportunity to be creative and
to use their writing skills to persuade others. The opportunity to
present the product orally will provide them with a public speaking
component that will help the children in building confidence for
future public speaking activities.
