This WebQuest is an opportunity for students to explore the topic of rope jumping. Students will need to use technology skills to gather information about the topic of jump rope. They will need to use reading and evaluating skills to select pertinent information. All of the information will be processed in order to produce a final written product. Written and oral skills will be used to support their final product. This lesson makes strong connections within the curriculum areas of English and Language Arts, Health, Physical Education and Science and Technology. Lessons are aligned with the Maine State Learning Results. This interdisciplinary lesson has been developed to heighten the awareness of the benefits of rope jumping. This WebQuest is appropriate for grades 5 and 6 but could also adapted in upper grade levels. Information or directions should be adjusted to fit your individual classroom needs.
