Humason Brook Trestle is the last remaining original trestle on the WW&F's right-of-way. As you can see from the picture above, the trestle still stands but it's quite fragile. Looking at the picture below, you can see the stringers that cross the brook.

The trestle is 1.1 miles north of Sheepscot Station, and is a pleasant walk from the end of track to the site. The right-of-way between the two spots was cleared by Museum volunteers during the 1998-1999 winter, and about 1/3 of it has been graded. It is now an easy walk. The area around the trestle has been cleared of trees and brush. Beyond the trestle is Alna Center Station, one half mile further north.

The Museum intends to replace this trestle within the next few years, with a structure as close to original as DEP and state regulations permit. The trestle structure itself is a little unusual, with 3 stringers on one side and two on the other. The reason for this is thought to be because the trestle is on a curve.
